I worked as a biologist, cell biologist, and anatomist at the Universities of Hamburg, Mainz, and finaly as a professsor at RWTHAachen University. My research primarily focused on high-performance microscopy, with a particular interest in live cell imaging and computer-based image analysis of sub-cellular structures. Besides my scientific work, I have a passion for creating art, including photography, sculptures, and paintings. More recently, thanks to my computer skills, I have developed an interest in computer-generated art.
